Constipation usually includes infrequent bowel movements and/ or strained bowel movements and hardened stools.  Fewer than 3 to 4 bowel movements in a week would be considered constipation and rectifying procedures should be taken.

Constipation, as with other digestive system disorders, can be symptomatic of other root causes.  While treating this symptom do not ignore what might be the underlying cause of the problem whether diet, emotional stress, or disease (pain medication often causes constipation).

Suggested protocols:

To relieve the symptoms use one of these suggestions:

•  2 – 3 drops Digestive Blend neat (undiluted) orally or in a capsule

•  1 – 5 drops of Cassia in a warm cup of water, stir well, drink while avoiding lips. Add tablespoon of honey if preferred.

•  Marjoram and/or Rosemary in 50% dilution with a carrier oil massaged on the abdomen or taken internally will help. Other oils listed above will also provide relief.
